Je crois en Jésus-Christ,

en qui l'homme est la condition même de Dieu,

- plus que l'homme ne l'est de lui-même

et que l'absolu ne l'est du divin.

Arrhes et vertu de l'Esprit et chair de la chair de Marie,

il est natif de l'humain.

Crucifié et mort sous Ponce Pilate,

il accepte la mort mieux que nous n'acceptons la vie,

il nous fait don de sa vie au lieu d'en mourir.

Et il vit !

Il vit là où,

Face humaine de Dieu,

seule espérance des vivants et des morts,

il vient pour libérer l'homme de ses idoles

et lui rendre un visage divin.

nous sommes agrégés au Corps du Christ ;

Je crois l'Eglise,

prolepse du Dieu qui vient et renouveau du monde ;

l'homme,

prolepse de l'homme nouveau et avent du Dieu qui règne.
